To know Dave was to love him. He was one of those rare and unique individuals that spread joy, love and laughter everywhere he went. He touched so many people’s lives and was the most caring, loving, dependable, funny, kind, generous, supportive human being. He was known to all for his sharp wit and innovative use of the English language. He will be remembered for his vitality, warmth, enthusiasm, caring, intelligence, respectfulness and optimism. The list of his outstanding traits is nearly endless. His charismatic smile, charm, charisma and enveloping hugs will live on forever in those he left behind.
He was an outstanding father, husband, brother, son, uncle, friend, person.
Dave Wodynski died suddenly of natural causes on Saturday, July 24 while enjoying the evening with his wife Michelle and baby Sophia. He was only 40 years old.
He leaves countless devastated souls in his wake. His untimely passing is a profound loss to all of those he loved and who loved him.
He is survived by many friends and family, but his absence is especially tragic to Michelle and 5-month-old Sophia who have been robbed of too many days with the true love of their lives. Please pray for them in the days, weeks and years ahead.
Memorial
On Saturday, July 31, Dave Wodynski’s family (wife, Michelle Vizurraga, baby Sophia, brother/sister John and Anna and parents Pop and Barb) will be holding a memorial celebration of Dave’s life.
This will be a two-part event, with a public ceremony from 2:00 to 3:00 PM open to everyone, and a private reception from 3:00 to 7:00 PM for friends and family (by invitation only).
The Ceremony event from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM will be in Long Beach on the beach at Ocean Blvd and Pomona Ave, across from Dave’s old apartment (5325 E. Ocean Blvd). Dress is beach casual; flip-flops encouraged. Parking is available on the street for free or off street for a fee.
